ABGI launches joint venture in Germany

November 30, 2020

ABGI, the innovation funding specialist, is expanding its existing international presence with a new joint venture in Germany. ABGI’s partner is the pioneering and long-established PFIF (Partner für Innovation & Förderung).

PFIF’s expertise, built up over the last 30 years, covers tax incentives, grants and subsidies, as well as innovation management advisory services, advising clients on how to best structure innovation projects to maximise eligibility for funding and incentives.

The joint venture will assist clients in claiming the new FZul ((“Forschungszulage”) R&D tax incentive as well as the full range of local, regional and federal grants and subsidies offered in Germany.

The FZul incentive, implemented on January 1, 2020, significantly strengthens the competitiveness of German companies, providing an R&D investment incentive scheme dedicated to large companies as well as mid-sized companies and SMEs, allowing them to be funded at 25% of their eligible R&D expenditure, with a ceiling of 1,000,000 euros per year.
